Guidlines for web design:

  • Think of your audience.
  • Less is more.
  • Just because you can, doesn't mean that you shoud.
  • Most people spend their time on other people's web sites.

Naming rules:

  • Must follow object naming rules.
  • No spaces.
  • No uppercase.
  • Short, meaningful names.
  • No special characters.

Every web page must have a Doctype, an HTML declaration, head, title and a body.

  1. Internal/Embedded Style Sheet
  2. External
  3. Inline style statement

Different types of CSS selectors:

  • Element Selector
  • ID Selector
  • Class Selector
  • Child Selectors
  • Attribute Selectors
  • Pseudo class selector
  • Pseudo element selector
  • Compound group selector

Tables are for content, not style.

The default style sheet sets block elements to a width of 100%.
