Project 1

The purpose of this project was to create a restaurant web site. For this we got together with a partner and looked at five different examples of good restaurant web sites. We then choose our favorite one and our partner was then responsible for developing a site similar in look and feel to that one.

In particular, this project focused on the HTML 5 structure of the web site. The goal was to have semantically correct code that could provide a good foundation for when we styled the site.

Project 2

The purpose of this project was to take the HTML 5 that we programmed with Project 1 and at CSS style to it. We also needed to add a menu page that gave information about 25 different items.

The focus on CSS with this project gave a great foundation for future work. In particular, the use of CSS positioning really helped to achieved the desired look for the site.
